Privacy Policy
Underscored is designed to respect your privacy. The short version: we don't collect your data.
What stays on your device
- Reading progress, bookmarks, and preferences
- Downloaded book text, score data, and audio files
- Font size, theme, and playback settings
This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
No accounts required
There is no sign-up, login, or email address needed. Just download and read.
No analytics or tracking
We do not use analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or any third-party data collection tools.
Network usage
The app connects to our content server to download book text, score definitions, and audio files. No personal data is sent in these requests. Once a book is downloaded, the app works entirely offline.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier and purchase transaction data. No name, email, or other personal information is shared. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
Feedback
If you choose to submit feedback through the app, the text you enter and basic device information (platform, app version) are sent to our feedback server. This is entirely optional and initiated only by you.
Third-party data sharing
Your information is not sold, shared, or transmitted to anyone beyond the services described above (RevenueCat for purchase management and our own feedback server when you choose to submit feedback).
Children's privacy
Underscored does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
